Abstract
⺠The influence of kernel topography on NIR hyperspectral images was investigated. ⺠Barley, wheat and sorghum were examined. ⺠Principal component analysis was applied to the image datasets. ⺠Kernel curvature was the greatest source of spectral variation. ⺠Important to consider sample shape and texture when analysing principal components.
