Abstract
⺠Polyamines are growth promoters and modulate intestinal tract and immune response. ⺠A method for amines in milk and in milk products was optimized and validated. ⺠Optimum extraction of polyamines - 40 s vortexing, 4 extractions, and SSA at 1.5%. ⺠Milk and beverages are poor sources of polyamines, human milk contains both amines.
