Abstract
⺠Two sensor molecules have been designed that distinguish between the organophosphorus pesticides - fenthion, malathion and ethion. ⺠The organophosphorus pesticides result in a change in the fluorescence and electrochemical properties of the sensors, unique to the specific pesticide. ⺠The ability of each sensor to produce both fluorescence and electrochemistry allows minimization of false positives.
