Abstract
► Our developed method allows the parallel analysis of perfluorinated octane sulfonate (PFOS) and the emerging perfluorinated alkyl phosphonates (PFPAs). ► The method was applied on environmental samples and PFOS was detected in sediments and water. ► A trace of PFPA was detected in water. ► PFPAs are not major pollutants in the Dutch environment.
