Abstract
⺠We propose a new in vitro method to evaluate the sunscreen activity of plant extracts. ⺠We evaluate the photoprotective activity of samples against high UV-B radiation. ⺠We use sodium magnesium chlorophyllin (SMC) as target molecule of UV-B radiation. ⺠We measure protective effect of sunscreens through limitation of SMC degradation. ⺠This new method is a good alternative to cosmetic procedures.
