Abstract
This paper discusses the theoretical and quantitative design and analysis of a honeycomb panel sandwich structure. The initial design is based on specific requirements that the panel must achieve prior to failure under load. Materials to be used for the facing and core are selected based on the given requirements. With the materials chosen, the facing sheets and core are analyzed for failure. Failure occurs when the stresses in the panel exceed the properties of the materials by any mode.
