Abstract
⺠Three novel polymerizable amphiphiles with sorbyl-substituted head group were synthesized. ⺠Physical characteristics of these molecules were studied. ⺠Mixing properties of these molecules with natural lipids were investigated using Langmuir isotherms. ⺠The sorbyl groups on the bulky head groups of these molecules form polymers.
