Abstract
- Multiple noncanonical amino acids (ncAAs) can be incorporated site-specifically into target proteins.
- Clickable ncAAs can be used to attach small dyes directly to the target protein via click-chemistry.
- With only one amino acid change, ncAA labeling represents the smallest labeling tag.
- Click-chemistry facilitates superresolution microscopy.
- Orthogonal click-reactions can be used to achieve dual-color labeling.
