Abstract
La increases the flow stress through strengthening nanoscale strain induced θ-(Fe,La)3C precipitation (SIP) during hot deformation of Mn-Cr-Mo bainitic rail steel. The hot deformation activation energy increases due to the “Zener effect” of SIP.276
