Abstract
This paper presents an investigation of a 273.1 × 8.89-mm J55 CSG connection pullout. Material tests of the casing, and make up, break out and tension tests of casing connections were conducted. It is found that the cause of casing pullout is inadequate make up torque and excessive impact load during running down.
