Spin-filtering and rectifying effects for Al-doped zigzag-edged silicene nanoribbons with asymmetric edge hydrogenation

For Al-2-5, the α-spin electron easily flows through the system at negative bias, whereas it is almost forbidden at positive bias. This means that the α-spin current shows rectifying behavior with the maximum rectifying ratio up to 105. Meanwhile, the current for the α-spin component is obviously larger than that for the β-spin state in the negative bias region, and the corresponding spin polarization would reach 100%.176
