Abstract
A simple mechanical model that reproduces the behaviour of a structural hybrid adhesive/riveted single lap joint is presented. The model has been applied to joints with rigid cyanoacrylate adhesive and tubular steel rivets. The Bond-Graph technique has been used in order to obtain the equations of the model. These equations depend on four parameters that can be considered as characteristics of the joint. With these obtained parameters the model reproduces the experimental curves with great precision.
