Abstract
Water-based acrylic, pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) were prepared by addition of aqueous rosin esters dispersions. PSA films were laminated to corona-treated PET film of 50 μm average thickness by transfer-coating. The glass transition temperature (Tg) was measured using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The probe tack test was conducted using texture analyzer. The tack performance of tackified emulsion PSAs were affected by the Tg of bulk PSAs, as well as by the miscibility and tackifier contents.
