Abstract
SOFCs based on the LSGM electrolyte with the SNM and SNMM double perovskites as anode materials and lanthanum cobaltite La0.7Sr0.3Co0.9Fe0.1O3 − δ (LSCF) as a cathode material were manufactured. The Ce0.8Sm0.2O2 − δ (SDC) interlayer was used between the LSCF cathode and LSGM compared to the previously published studies where similar interlayers were introduced between the Sr2AMoO6 anode and the LSGM electrolyte. The developed SOFCs were tested using humidified hydrogen as a fuel and ambient air as an oxidant. The electrochemical performance of the cell was studied, using current-voltage curves. The maximum power densities were 61 and 429 mW cm− 2 at 800 °C for the LSCF/SDC/LSGM/SNM and LSCF/SDC/LSGM/SNMM single cells, respectively. The LSCF/SDC/LSGM/SNMM cell performance has no apparent degradation at 800 °C during 456 h.
