Abstract
5 V class LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 positive electrode particles were coated with amorphous Li3PO4 thin films by the pulsed laser deposition method. The coating significantly decreased electrode-electrolyte interfacial resistances in all-solid-state cells using Li2S-P2S5 sulfide electrolytes. The cell using Li3PO4-coated LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 successfully operated as a rechargeable battery and showed the reversible capacity of 62 mAh gâ 1 at high voltage of 4.7 V vs. Li.
