Abstract
⺠We studied the loss of H2O from nano- and monocrystalline YSZ exposed to liquid H2O. ⺠NIR spectra showed no evidence for structurally bonded OH groups in the samples. ⺠NIR combination band at 5200 cmâ 1 (vibration modes of H2O molecules) observed. ⺠Loss kinetics of H2O from nano-YSZ slower than from s-YSZ.
