Abstract
⺠We synthesize sulfonated poly(ethersulfone)s which form conjugated planar conformation. ⺠We control selectively sulfonation on phenyl ring of polymer side chain. ⺠Increasing sulfonic group increase proton conductivity. ⺠Polymer membrane of 50% sulfonation exhibits similar cell performance to Nafion.
