Abstract
⺠Glasses with 20 mol% SrO or more contains VO5 groups and VO4 metavandate chains. ⺠The conduction mechanism is due to non-adiabatic hopping of the polarons. ⺠The conductivity results were analyzed with reference to theoretical models. ⺠Both Mott VRH and Greaves models are suitable to explain the data.
