- Photochemical switches based on metal complexes are reviewed.
- The considered switches are mostly based on photo-bistable systems and complexation/decomplexation processes.
- Selected ligands comprise azobenzene, azopyridines, diarylethenes, spiropyranes, spiropyroxazines and rhodamine.
- Few switching processes related to logic gates and memories are reported.
