Abstract
Two mononuclear complexes of macrocyclic Schiff base ligands and two dinuclear complexes of acyclic Schiff base ligands were synthesized by Schiff base condensation of 2-[3-(2-formylphenoxy)-2-hydroxypropoxy]benzaldehyde with diethylenetriamine, dipropylenetriamine, 1,2-diaminopropane and 1,2-diaminoethane, respectively, in the presence of cadmium(II) and characterized by conductance measurements, IR and single crystal X-ray structure analysis.58
