Abstract
Two novel polymeric aggregates with uncommon coordination motifs are formed by using pentaphosphaferrocenes and monocationic coinage metal salts. The self-assembly of [CpâFe(η5-P5)] and Cu(GaCl4) results in a 2D network with sheet-like structure while [CpBIGFe(η5-P5)] and Ag[Al{OC(CF3)3}4], bearing a weakly coordinating anion, form a 1D polymer.164
