Abstract
Introduction of a pyridinyloxy-linker between the dye FlEt (donor) and the ruthenium nitrosyl [(Me2bpb)Ru(NO)] unit (acceptor) causes a significant reduction in NO photorelease upon illumination with visible light and enhanced fluorescence. The results indicate energy transfer between the two moieties through the Dexter pathway.
