Abstract
The reaction of gold(I) with the monodentate tri-2-furylphosphine (TFP) ligand provided several complexes containing one to four TFP ligands coordinated to the metal center. The crystal structure of 3, [Au(TFP)4]Cl·CH3CN, reveals four phosphine ligands bound to the gold(I) atom providing a nearly regular tetrahedral geometry with an average P-Au-P angle of 109.4°.
