Synthesis, spectroscopic, and cyclic voltammetric studies of ferrocene containing vic-dioxime ligand and its complexes with Ni(II), Cu(II), Co(II), Cd(II) and Zn(II)

Novel vic-dioxime ligand and its Ni(II), Cu(II), Co(II), Cd(II), and Zn(II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized using elemental analyses, mass spectra, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), UV-Vis spectroscopy (UV-Vis), magnetic susceptibility, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR, and 13C NMR) techniques. The redox behavior was studied using cyclic voltammetry and revealed metal-centered reduction processes for all complexes.
