Abstract
Two new dinuclear molybdenum(0) complexes of quinoxaline-2,3-dione ligand were synthesized and characterized. The new complexes were then used as precursors for producing α-MoO3 nanoplates through thermal decomposition. The produced α-MoO3 nanoplates were characterized and showed semiconducting properties by exhibiting the convenient optical energy gap.
