Abstract
We present herein novel lanthanide coordination dimers of a new tetrapodal thenylsalicylamide ligand. Two arms of L ligand bind two lanthanide to form a cage-like coordination structure with the other two uncoordinated arms to construct interesting supramolecular structures. Luminescence studies demonstrated that the tetrapodal salicylamide ligand exhibits a good antenna effect with respect to the Eu(III) and Tb(III) ion.
