Abstract
⺠We used 2,6-diethyl-4,8-dimethyl-5-hydroindacenide as ligand to obtain the corresponding titanocene. ⺠The titanium complex and its zirconium analog showed an enormous difference as catalysts in the polymerization of ethylene. ⺠The redox behavior of both complexes was studied with cyclic voltammetry. ⺠The electronic structure of both compounds was studied with DFT calculations.
