Abstract
⺠Inert platinum-nucleobase compounds are selective electrophiles toward cysteine. ⺠Tryptophan stacking in model peptides enhances reactivity of platinum-nucleobases. ⺠An approach to selective peptide attack as new targets for platinum is proposed.
