Abstract
⺠A new trans-dichloridoruthenium(II) compound is formed. ⺠A tridentate ligand coordinates in a bidentate mode due to intramolecular hydrogen bonding. ⺠A ruthenium compound with high antitumour activity and DNA binding affinity is reported.
