Abstract
⺠Synthesis of two benzyl viologen quenchers and Ru(II) metal-ligand-complex. ⺠A large decrease of the luminescence of metal complex as the concentration of quencher increase. ⺠Static and dynamic quenching constants are obtained in presence of water and phosphate buffer. ⺠The lifetime of metal complex is decreased in the presence of sugar molecule.
