Abstract
⺠Borondifluoride-β-diketonates behave as luminescent liquid crystal materials. ⺠These boron derivatives exhibit high fluorescence quantum yields close to the unity. ⺠Mesomorphism is induced by the strategic use of unsymmetrically substituted ligands.
