Abstract
Polyfluorinated alcohols were reacted with H-terminated Si(0 0 1) surfaces to form SiOC interfacial bonds from CH2Cl2 and CH3CN/H2O (with β-cyclodextrin) dilute solution. This reaction was followed by X-ray and UV photoelectron spectroscopy. The results of UPS and DFT calculation were discussed taking into account the electronic properties of the F-SAMs. The change of electronic parameters depends primarily on the fluorine content.
