Abstract
The complex forming abilities of b-CD and its derivatives modified at position C6 were compared. The complexation ability was found to strongly depend on the structure of both fluoroaromatics and β-CD derivatives. The F and CF3 group of benzene ring could easily fit in the hydrophobic interior of β-CD and their derivatives.
