Abstract
- CH perfluorobutylation of (di)benzo(hetero)aromatic compounds is achieved.
- The photosubstitution of aromatic H for C4F9 is carried out in aqueous media.
- The mechanism is a PET followed by a proton transfer sequence.
- The regioselectivity is good for small rings and moderate-to low for larger ones.
