Abstract
⺠Synthesis of β-trifluoromethylated ketones from allylic alcohols by an isomerization reaction. ⺠Detailed study of the reaction parameters and mechanistic insights clearly indicate a strong fluorine effect. ⺠High level of enantiospecificity was demonstrated in the reaction whereas poor enantioselectivity was achieved so far.
