Abstract
Copper(II) phenanthroline-phenazine complexes are a novel group of metal complexes with strong DNA binding characteristics and hold great developmental potential in the design of metal-based anticancer drugs. The Lepidoptera model, Galleria mellonella provide a first step towards assessing the in-vivo tolerance and mode of action of these therapeutic metallodrugs.139
