Abstract
In glycopeptide antibiotic biosynthesis, Cytochrome P450s are key players in the cyclization of precursor peptides - a process vital for the activity of these complex antibiotics. In this work, we developed chimeric glycopeptide antibiotic P450 enzymes to explore the divergent catalytic behavior of two parental homologues.249
