Abstract
Dimeric Marasmius peroxygenase converts cortisone into adrenosterone (4-androstene-3,11,17-trione) via removal of the side-chain at C17 of the steroidal molecule (deacylating C-C cleavage between C17 and C20) using hydrogen peroxide as co-substrate.292
