Abstract
Novel tetracationic zinc phthalocyanine easily binds to cellulose substrate from aqueous solution. Dyed paper is stable against leaching and bleaching and shows strong phototoxic effect under artificial light. Photoinactivation of 4 log reduction in colony forming units against Gram-negative bacteria is achieved upon illumination with consumer light-emitting diode lamps.342
