Abstract
MDH and MNH are N-terminal sequences of human and rodent CTR1 (Copper Transporter 1), the main eukaryotic copper transport protein. The log K (pHâ¯7.4) for Cu(II) binding to MDH-am and MNH-am are 13.1 and 14.5, enabling an affinity gradient for Cu(II) transfer from albumin (log K 12.0) to CTR1.74
