Abstract
Mononuclear copper(II) complexes containing tripodal tetraamine ligands were synthesized and structurally characterized. The in vitro cytotoxicity of the complexes was investigated against the A2780, A2780R, HOS and CaCo2 human cancer cell lines, with IC50 ranging from 1.4 to 10.8 μM for complex 4 ([Cu(bedmpzp)Cl]PF6, where bedmpzp = [bis(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl-1-ethyl)-(2-pyridylmethyl)]amine.112
