Abstract
Cu(II) with 8-hydroxyquinoline, clioquinol and 5,7-dichloro-2-[(dimethylamino)methyl]quinolin-8-ol (PBT2) forms ternary complexes with glycine, glutamate and histidine. The speciation of Cu(II)-PBT2 as well as the spectroscopic, the redox properties of both binary and ternary complexes of the three quinoline derivatives and the interaction with ascorbate and reduced glutathione is detailed.67
