Abstract
Dual-acting Pt(II) complexes, designed to both inhibit selenocysteine glutathione peroxidase and bind to DNA, were shown to be cytotoxic to cancer cells, induced apoptosis, bind to nuclear DNA and interact with DNA in various ways. However, they do not inhibition glutathione peroxidase.200
