Abstract
Schiff-ligand design based on tromethamine and diversified ortho-vanillin cores led to synthetic reactivity toward Zn(II), affording crystalline materials. Physicochemical studies reveal distinct structural features of well-defined binary-ternary Zn(II)-Schiff complex forms. Ensuing molecular biological work on Zn(II)-induced adipogenesis, unravels key molecular-genetic structure-biofunction correlations, meriting development of efficient antidiabetic Zn(II) metallodrugs.127
