Abstract
⺠Existing evaluation criteria are dependent on experimental data points chosen. ⺠Proposed new criterion is independent of choice of experimental data points. ⺠Proposed criterion correlates well with experimental strain-life plot observation. ⺠Error in predicting transition life is better with new criterion.
