Abstract
The antimicrobial efficacy of copper(II) has been known to mankind since the ancient times. In an attempt to combine the antimicrobial effect of copper(II) with known antimicrobial agents, Cu2Â + coordination complexes of quinolones and p-xylenyl-linked quinolone dimers were synthesized, characterized, and their efficacy against nosocomial pathogens evaluated.104
