Abstract
This work reports the preparation and characterization of five water-soluble Ru(II)- and Ru(III)-halide-PTA (PTAÂ =Â 1,3,5-triaza-7-phosphaadamantane) complexes. The structure and pH dependent solution behavior of the compounds, their interactions with model proteins and with a single strand reference oligonucleotide, and their antiproliferative properties are discussed in comparison with established ruthenium drug candidates in clinical development.183
