Abstract
Dirhenium anticancer complexes exhibit remarkably low toxicity. Spectroscopic studies of Re2(i-C3H7COO)4Cl2 with the DNA purines show that two bases bind equatorially via ring sites N1/N6/O6/N7, and react with dirhenium by a different mechanism than dirhodium.144
