Abstract
A novel low toxic vanadyl complex (VOphpada) was synthesized by incorporating antioxidant 4-aminophenol in ligand. VOphpada exhibited potent hypoglycemic effects via stimulating insulin enhancement signaling, i.e. increase of PPARα and γ, activation of Akt while inactivation of JNK in muscle and adipose tissues.
