Abstract
The influence of the surface charge and the agglomeration state of ZnO nanoparticles in vitro is investigated. The ZnO nanoparticles were modified to create negative or positive surfaces. The physicochemical properties of these nanoparticles were investigated. The cellular uptake of the nanoparticles and their impact on cell viability were evaluated.103
